Vampirism in Elder Scrolls games like Skyrim is a bit different than what players might expect. However, players who are so inclined can choose to go another path well in Skyrim's narrative. Playable non-human races include three varieties of elves - High, Wood, and Dark - as well as the Khajiit and Argonian beast races. In The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, players have several opportunities to step outside their humanity, starting with their character creations.
